9 DAYS PROGRAM (Nepal-Tibet)

Day 1. Arrival in Kathmandu, Reception at the airport and transfer to the hotel (hotel 4 stars in kathmandu center of Thamel). The arrival in Kathmandu and the covering ( handing-over ) of the passports to our agency must be prepare all the document and visa for tibet do not be latecomer of these day SUNDAY OR THURSDAY, the departure for Tibet by the plane will take place onTuesday or Saturday twice days per week .
Day 2.. Kathmandu, free Day (Hotel includ)
Day 3. Departure from Kathmandu to Lhassa by plane at 9h in the morning, one-hour flight to arrive at Gongar airport in Tibet. Welcome at airport by your English speaking tibetian guide and depart to Lhassa (90 km, 1h 1/2 by road). Installation in Flora or hotel Yak, in the center of Lhassa. (Name of the hotel will indicate in the time of your inscription). On the road bringing to Lhassa, visit of GONGAR monastery, this is not a historical monastery, but climbing on the roof we can see rest of the foundations, more then 50 constructions belonging of monastery which was entirely smash by the Chinese during the "Cultural Revolution". Lhassa is situated at 3650m altitude. First visit religious center of Lhassa Jokand monastery, surrounded by the Barkhor road or Tibetains comes to walk in praying (circumnabulation) around of monastery.
Day 4. Visit of Pothalapalace , construct on Red Hill, its construction start in 1645. It was the residency of several Dalaï Lamas. To the exception of thirteen Dalaï Lama's tomb, it has practically undergone any transformation since its construction. Since the roof, we have a magnificent view on Lhassa and the pond of Kyichu valley. Visit of Norbulinka, ancient summer residence of Dalaï Lama. Afternoon, visit Tibetan medicine center.
Day 5. Visit of Drepung and Serra monasteries. Visit Drepung monastery "Mount of Rice", founded in 1416, there would not be in original just some building then it's became a very important religious center, it has sheltered more then 7000 monks in same way of second, third, firth and fifth Dalaï Lamas until achievement of Potala. Since 1982, more then 400 young monks try to recreate the cycle of study. In return visit of Serra monastery, small monastic community which has regrouped till 5000 monks but also nuns, worker and civil workers. One of the most sacred object is "Vajra" or "Dorje" in Tibetan, it's a prototype of all other Vajra in Tibet, discover in the Padmasambhava cave at Yerpa and shown to public just one time per year.
Day 6. Departure to Tsurphu monastery. It is in Tsurphu monastery, where was sheltered Karmapa, who had get away in 2001 to come to refused in India. Return in afternoon at Lhassa.
Day 7. Depart early in the morning from Lhassa to Gongar airport and fly out to Kathmandu. On the way super spectacle of Everest. Arrival in Kathmandu at 9 h Locale. Transfer in your hotel.
Day 8. Free day in Kathmandu. Hotel inclus
Day 9. Transfer to airport 3 hours before your plane leaving time.

Price indicated include: IN NEPAL: Welcome at airport and transfer to hotel. Standard 4star hotel, at Thamel center. A bedroom with 2 beds, shower (hot water) and breakfasts. Reconfirmation of return plane ticket. IN TIBET: Plane tickets Kathmandu-Lhassa Kathmandu. The hotels that you would choose in standard or 3 stars with breakfasts include. The indicated visits, entrances of monasteries and monuments as indicated in the program. English speaking Tibetan guide. Transportation to the indicated sightseeing in land cruiser or in minibus according the size of your group. The Chinese visa to enter in Tibet (chinese make by our agency). Transfer in Lhassa airport.

THE PRICE DOES NOT INCLUD: Lunch and Dinner in Nepal and in Tibet (about 2 to 3 dollars per meals), visits not indicates. Drinks. your insurance, Nepalese Visas, plane from your country Airport taxes, entry fees of non indicated monuments and temples, non indicated visit in Nepal and Tibet.

Note : Since your enter in Tibet (chine) we are not the master of work, the Chinese take relay, and it is arrived some times that they change the programs or lodging… We can't take responsibility in any case of every sort of change interval, land slides, of the road obstructs, of all accidental event, natural disaster, or politic events which can change the travel course, which would shorten it or would lengthen it and some problems that ensue. All this doesn't give place to any refund. The Chinese reply us in case of problem, or that they can do anything, or that this was decided by their Chinese tourism office ….. which is an office of army occupation..

INSURNANCE
All participant have to give a cop of their insurance, with the address, tel and fax number of insurance . This insurance has to cover the helicopter rescue in case of accident or sickness during trekking. In case of your insurance don't accept helicopter rescue, you have to fill a form in Kathmandu and take responsibility that you will pay yourself the amount of expenses paid by Nepal Ecology Green Treks for your helicopter rescue or research. Without this aggrement, you cannot participate fott the trek. All our guides and porters are insured and fully equiped.
